Group operations manager Paul Brown, along with Debbie Brown, general manager of County Durham based The Seaton Lane Inn and the inn’s front of house Keeley Matthewson will be pounding the streets of Tyneside during the 13.1 mile run from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to the coast in South Shields.
They will be raising funds for The Inn Collection Group’s chosen charity NE Youth, the north east’s leading youth development charity supporting young people in the region.
Said Paul: “I’ve always wanted to do The Great North Run. It’s a north east institution and one to tick off the list. It’s also given us an incentive to get out there and get training for the race, which is the biggest half marathon in the country. We’re excited about running it. It will be fun. The aim is to raise lots of money for NE Youth for the valuable work they do helping disadvantaged young people in our region. The other aim is not to be the last person to finish!”
