The Amble Inn has played its part in ensuring the Little Shore of the coastal town will be rocking this Saturday, after making use of its Give Inn Back budget to support this year’s Colony Music Festival.
A one day, not profit music festival first established back in 2012, the event is a free live music event that runs entirely on community spirit, donations and sponsorship.
Donating £1,000 to the festival’s organisers, The Inn Collection Group’s venue on Sandpiper Way joins Amble Town Council, Castle North Plumbing & Heating, Coquet Island Shellfish and Warkworth Harbour Commissioners in supporting the 2023 event.
Providing a full day of entertainment with a junior fun fair, bars and food venues adding to the activities around the site, the first of seven acts takes to the stage at Noon and the last beginning their set around 19:15.
Performers for 2023 cater for a diverse array of musical tastes, with regional artists including Six Card Trick, Rock and Indie cover band The Range and Pink Floyd tribute act Prism all performing.
Looking ahead to the festival, The Amble Inn’s general manager Jason Milburn said: “We’re very pleased to be supporting The Colony Music Festival this year and helping to make sure it will be another successful day on The Little Shore.
“It’s established itself as a big date in the town’s calendar and as our aim at The Inn Collection Group is to make people happy, supporting the festival is a very good fit for us.”
Launched in 2022, Give Inn Back is an initiative that enables The Inn Collection Group’s Inns to make a difference in their local communities and provide support to organisations and worthwhile causes.
Each Inn receives a budget of £2,500 per year, with how that fund is used down to the teams at each site, with grassroots sporting teams, charities and volunteer rescue services among the diverse range of recipients so far this year.
Built brand new and opened in January 2019, The Amble Inn is one of five properties belonging to The Inn Collection Group in Northumberland and 33 across the north of England and North Wales.
Open all day, every day, it is the perfect place from which to eat, drink, sleep and explore in Amble and the surrounding area.
