Managing Director shortlisted for award

Our Managing Director, Sean Donkin, has been shortlisted in the 2021 Publican Awards Business Leader of the Year award.

Sean has lead the group through a year of exponential growth over the past year, acquiring 8 new sites with the site total currently sitting at 19. The group now have sites in the Lake District, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, County Durham and Lancashire.

Operations Manager Paul Brown explains: “In a year of uncertainty and unknown, Sean has lead The Inn Collection Group from strength to strength, showing unrivalled leadership skills in unparralled times. Sean has managed the group as we’ve reinvested in our team with the latest innovations in training and supporting their well-being throughout these difficult times, whilst continuing to carry out exciting refurbishments and upgrades across our inns, and investing in the environments and communities we operate within. The Northumberland-based pubco features on the shortlist for a further three categories in the prestigious Publican Awards, which champion the very best operators in the pub industry.

In the running for Best Accommodation Operator and Best Managed Pub Company, the group is also looking to retain the sought-after title of Best Pub Employer, an award the group has held for a record two consecutive years.

An online evening awards ceremony on Tuesday 30 March will replace the usual Publican Awards ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London.
