Whilst the weather may be anything but seasonal, the taste of summer at least has arrived across The Inn Collection Group with new menus now live at its Inns across northern England and Wales.
Packed with pub classics the new look bill of fare aims to reflect the mood of the season, making use of great quality ingredients and cooking them simply to create delicious dishes bursting with flavour.
Starters and deserts across the 30-inn strong estate, have been heavily revisited, with exciting new dishes joining regular crowd-pleasers.
Flavoursome ways to kick off a meal include a toasted, hot smoked salmon crumpet, with crushed peas, mint, crème fraîche and a poached egg, chicken satay served with peanut dip and an Asian vegetable salad and Pea and Broad Brean Arancini.
Bolstering the line up, the ever-popular potato skins have been given a serious make over for summer, with the option of buffalo and loaded varieties added to give a serious hit of extra flavour.
Moving to the main event, star players include a pair of breaded chicken dishes with chicken Milanese and Parmigiana, coming in alongside the ever-dependable selections of fish and chips, pies of the week and house burgers.
For when the mercury rises, there is also a delicious, chopped summer salad to delight the tastebuds featuring tomato, cucumber, sweetcorn, pomegranate seeds, roasted beetroot, chickpeas and radicchio with a mustard vinaigrette, this dish can also come served with chicken or king prawns.
As a group proud to serve some of the best produce in the UK with its game offering, summer sees a delicious pair of venison dishes added to the menu with Bolognese fritters as a starter and a seared steak served with a tomato, rocket and blue cheese salad and thick-cut chips on the mains.
With everything that little bit sweater when the sun shines, a delightful trifle is the main addition on the dessert front, alongside a wide array of ice creams and sorbets and other pub favourites.

Speaking about the new-look menus, head of food at The Inn Collection Group Tom Adlam said: “We’re excited about the new summer menus across The Inn Collection Group, which are a great mix of pub classics and dishes with a summer focus.
“There’s some excellent variety on offer, with different areas of focus. In Ambleside for example, The Wateredge Inn has an extensive burger menu in place, whilst The Temperance Inn has the added attraction of some delicious hot dogs.
“I’m confident the new menus will delight visitors across the estate with something for everyone on all the bill of fayres.”
