Druridge Bay Country Park
A large park with a lake, woodland, visitor centre and beach - something for everyone.
With three miles of dune-fringed beaches, a large freshwater lake is surrounded by meadows, woodland and a raft of water sports – from kayaking to sailing, this park is always worth a visit, whatever time of the year. Within the park you will also find a series of smaller nature reserves, home to everything from a resident herd of swans to rare birds like the Golden Eye Snipe.
The bay has its own partnership and is currently working to raise money to improve it further and turn Druridge into a nationally renowned wildlife tourism destination.
